March 2018 Rainbow Bullet Journal Plan
This is my first March in a Bullet Journal, so I wanted to make sure that it was a bright, happy spread which made a nod to St. Patrick’s Day without being focused on that one day, which is why I decided to go with a Rainbow Theme. I love the end result, and I can’t wait to share it with you, so let’s get started!
Welcoming in the New Month
For my cover page this month, I chose a quote “Luck is not found. It is made.” I love this quote and feel that it really relates back to my word of the year, Organize. I am not relying on random luck to get me through my student teaching, taking care of myself and my home, or growing my relationships. Instead, I am working hard on organizing each aspect of my life one by one, and throughout this process, I am taking luck into my own hands and controlling it’s presence in my life. I used the Tombow Dual Brush Pens in Bright and also Greyscale for the coloring and my Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens for the writing and outline work.
My monthly overview is where I keep any appointments, activities, or dates I know about at the beginning of the month, or that I schedule throughout the month. This is things like school schedules, nights out, and hair appointments. I don’t add anything else to this spread. It is a quick place to get information at a glance. I used shades of green for this spread from the Tombow Dual Brush Pens sets FILL IN SETS
Gratitude & Self Care
I kept my Gratitude and Self Care spreads exactly the same this month. I love watching these pages fill up. Last month, I did words for both. This month I think I might try some doodles instead as I’m wanting to work on my drawing. Because of this, I’m going to start hosting a Doodle Challenge next month. If you want to be kept up to date on that, Subscribe to my Newsletter or Follow Me On Instagram.
Last month, I ended up adding several spreads into my Bullet Journal to track Fitness related information. I had a Steps Tracker, a Weight Tracker, etc. This month, I decided to track them all together in a calendar set up. I will record weight, calorie count, sleep, steps, and exercise on this spread.
During February, I did really well with using my Bullet Journal each and every day. I was using every part of my Bullet Journal and adding collections to make it even more useful. Because I had really formed a habit of tracking, I decided to incorporate more tracking into my day. My habit tracker is a bit crazy, but I’m looking forward to seeing it fill up!
I actually did a blog post just about setting up this spread to track my skincare regimen! You can find it HERE.
I’m looking forward to writing daily in this new section of my Bullet Journal. I thought about adding it to my weekly spread, but I ultimately didn’t think that would work. I’m happy with the look of the rainbow lines, and hope that I keep up with the task of sharing what happens in my day, how I’m feeling, or things I want to remember.
This is my first time trying out the Mood Mandala. I was introduced to this method of mood tracking by Kara over at Boho Berry, who also adapted it from another Bullet Journaler. This first month, I decided to use Kara’s categories and see how they work for me. I may end up adapting them next month to make them work better for me. I’ve seen so many of these gorgeous mandalas, and I’m looking forward to watching mine grow day by day.
This monthly layout will be for listing my breakfast, lunch, dinner, and any snacks. It will help me to see at a glance how my eating habits are keeping up throughout the month. I can then compare them to my fitness information and my mood as well.
This is the first month I have included my budget and expense tracker in my bullet journal. My husband and I use a shared Google Document for our finances, but I think having it in my journal will make it more present in my life.
I’ve recently changed up my weekly a little bit, but if you like the general look of this spread, you can head HERE and get a printable version.
I’m so happy with my Bullet Journal this month. I love the bright, happy mood it reflects. I’m looking forward to filling it in throughout the next few weeks and continuing to learn what works for me. If you would like to check out my March Plan With Me Video, you can find it HERE.
